On Friday I received advance copies of Early American Life’s Christmas issue. I’m thrilled to be able to say that I am once again in The Holiday Directory of Traditional American Craftsman. This is the 33rd time I have been chosen for the Directory. What an honor!

When you are looking through the magazine you can see a few more photos of our house on pages 44, 49 & 51. 🙂

My name is Paula Walton. I’m a working craftsperson. I’ve been self-employed since 1986, when I started selling the items that I make under the name A Sweet Remembrance. Among other things, I am a doll maker, a dressmaker that specializes in reproduction women’s and children’s clothing, maker of spun cotton ornaments and holiday figures, and a freelance designer. Upon occasion I write magazine articles and am a Craftsperson in Residence. I teach and do demonstrations quite frequently, plus I was previously the director and curator of a small museum in Connecticut.

Congratulations- again and again and again and again and again!!! Your things are absolutely beautiful and should be shared with the country! So glad they chose you again.
Well, you DESERVE to be chosen! I cannot wait to get my copy! Billie Aye
Thank you Billie! It’s a great issue with lots of beautiful photos. I always look forward to their Christmas features 🙂
Thank you!!! I still remember the flowers you brought me the first time I made it into the Directory! 🙂
Paula, My Christmas 2015 Issue came last week. It is such an incredible issue as always. Congratulations on your listing again. I noticed in the back of the magazine they have issues available from years past. I plan on ordering most of the Holiday or winter issues, such as the ones with the Santa’s on the cover. How I noticed these other things in the EAL is I’m now reading it litterly from cover to cover. I don’t want to miss anything. I love the picture of your antique dolls on the green table. Again, Congrats on everything. I’ll be waiting for the Izannah Walker Birthday Party. Bye……..Mary Goddard.
Mary I love my stack of EAL holiday back issues and I’m sure you will too! So many great ideas 🙂 Thank you so much!
